Understanding GSM and Textile Fabric Weight Classes
Fabric weight is the industry standard measure of fabric thickness, density, and drape:
- Very Lightweight ($< 100\text{ GSM}$ / $< 3\text{ oz/yd}^2$): Chiffon, organza, lace, mesh, and lightweight voile.
